Please forgive me for not writing more often, but I liked your last novel «L’Ombre Du Capitaine» so much, that I expected to sell it practically overnight. I then intended to surprise you with a cable. Unfortunately things don’t happen so fast anymore. Lippincott are very excited about your book, and it had already three readings. But they haven’ decided yet. They promised me a decision by next week, and it looks very hopeful. I hope I will be able to send you a cable next week, and report good news.

I haven’t heard from Olga since she left New York. When will she be coming back. Please give her and all your family my love.
