Dear Mr. Dormandi:

Please forgive me for not writing to you in such a long time. I have delayed doing it, in the hope that I might have some good news to report. So far I have received some very encouraging news on your book «Tu Mourras Seul,» but unfortunately haven’t been able to sell it. But I am not discouraged, and will keep on trying.

So far I have shown your book to Harcourt Brace, William Morrow, Lippincott, and Little Brown. All the editors liked it, and admired your writing, but the sales managers decided against it because they thougth the book would only have a limited sale. I think they are wrong, and hope to be able to prove it to them soon.

Kindest regards,

Maximilian Becker
